"I have this recurring dream,
My mind slips to places I’ve never been,
Worlds where the trails never end,
Mountains speak in color and my bike, is an old friend,
A place of adventure,
Where it roars to life, the more I descend,
Choices in the trail are wild and free,
Amidst sounds of silence, Mother Nature and me.
Through the mist, just me and my friend,
With the promise of joy and freedom around each bend,
The never ending quest to quiet my mind,
One crank, one push, one breath at a time,
I imagine a place where time doesn’t exist,
All seconds, all minutes, all hours, dismissed,
The smaller I feel, the further I go,
Open air, open space lets my mind grow,
Through the land of the lost, I put my tread to the ground,
For sometimes being lost is another way of being found,
No, lost isn’t bad, it’s better than best,
One of life’s little tricks in it’s ultimate test,
As fast as things change and as fast as I go,
I’ve learnt to slow down and learn to let go,
Sometimes I stop, but not for too long,
Down I go through winding forests of green,
The most beautiful places I’ve ever seen,
Yes down I go in a world of speed,
Feeling limitless, alive, totally free,
Mountains at my back, earth at my feet,
Down I go and oh, what a treat,
This is my dream, I’ll make it for real,
In a life where I sleep, hear and feel,
For now is my chance to see and explore
Dreams are meant for both sides of this door.
Life’s a dream, so ride on!
