A long winter has gone and the long anticipated round 1 of the UCI MTB downhill world cup is now complete. Gripping action from start to finish in the holy town of Lourdes. With the Norco Factory Racing boys on new bikes, the equipment was in check, the only thing standing in their way was the challenging Lourdes track. Rooty, rocky and hardpacked, it wasn't going to be easy. Henry took to the hill, the stoke was high, loving the trail and bike. All through practise he looked solid but...

The opening round of the UCI World Cup was turned on its head when the top 10 qualifiers from Saturday were dealt with gale force winds, rain and low visibility as they took to the challenging downhill track here in Lourdes (FRA), which lies in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains. Despite the event being 2 weeks later than last year, snow fell on the track earlier in the week, and the sunny conditions of Saturday’s qualifying made way for very difficult conditions today in the finals....

Pictures tell a thousand words so here are all of ours and more from the first World Cup DH race of the season in Lourdes, France!

Le team Dorval AM Nicolai était présent à la coupe du monde de DH à Lourdes . Les conditions pour rouler n'étaient pas facile du tout avec un terrain bien glissant . Mariana Salazar termine 12 ème chez les femmes et Benoit Coulanges finit 20ème en elite lors de la finale . De bons résultats pour commencer la saison 2016 .

Bryan Pfeiffer et Thibault Laly se sont rendu à Lourdes pour leurs première coupe du monde de DH en catégorie elite . Bryan finit 95 ème de la qualification après avoir été malade durant tout le week end et Thibault Laly finit 56 ème de la finale, un résultat très encourageant pour la suite .

Nous sommes allés voir quelques riders après leurs runs de finales.

Nous avons fait un rapide tour des paddocks pour interviewer 5 Français et voir comment ils ont géré le stress et les glissades pour cette première journée d'entrainements.
