Les courses de descente ont repris place dans les rues de Valparaiso au Chili pour l'édition 2012 du Cerro Abajo. Il s'agit certainement de l'événement le plus fou existant sur le circuit sud-américain avec un mélange de bosses, de sauts, de "Wall Rides", de marches et de fans survoltés.
